Year Five were transported to the depths of the forest, the setting of our new book ‘Fox’. The children were shocked to discover that the book didn’t have a blurb and began debating whether this was a good thing or not. The children came up with persuasive reasons to convince Miss Casley and Mrs Aitken that books either should or should not have a blurb. We discussed as a class what makes a good blurb, looking at lots of examples from different books, before writing our very own blurbs for ‘Fox’. All children impressed us with their brilliant blurbs!  After reading and exploring the first page, Year Five are excited to see what happens next…
