A Spectacular Musical Composition by Year Four - March 2023

Over the last few weeks, Year Four have composed and rehearsed their own song to sing at The Prince of Wales Theatre, in Cannock.

Two members of Manchester Camerata visited the to support their song- writing, which was based on the last chapter of the book, Matilda. The lyrics were composed solely by the children and they were instrumental in making decisions about the melody and accompaniment.

The children joined seven other schools at the theatre to sing their own part of the story, with their performance creating the show's finale. Without a doubt, Year Four thrilled their audience with their performance: they received many positive comments from parents and carers and others in the audience. Thank you to Mrs Ennis for the careful organisation of this event and to those who were able to be part of the audience. The children felt very supported indeed!
