Sharing Information

We had fun in Scratch today as we worked together online on a shared project. This lesson introduced another approach to online working: reusing and modifying work done by someone else. This lesson used the Scratch programming tool, which allowed us to use other people’s work. Afterwards, we carefully evaluated different ways of working together online.

In this lesson, the class considered how larger computer systems work and how devices and processes are connected. We reflected thoughtfully on how computer systems can help us and we were able to recognise the role of computer systems in our lives. In this example, we considered how sensors made the puffin crossings better.

We enjoyed our time on this wild project! In this lesson, we considered how people can work together when they are not in the same location. We discussed ways of working and started a collaborative online project. We used Google Slides for this lesson which has a handy chat tool! Afterwards, we were able to explain how sharing information online lets people in different places work together.
