Welcome to Nursery at Berkswich
Berkswich Nursery is an Accredited Hygge in the Early Year's setting. At Nursery we love playing and exploring. We offer a range of interesting and stimulating activities that enable the children to be active in their own learning. They have opportunities to build on their experiences, delight in their achievements and develop creative and critical thinking. Thus, developing children that are confident, capable learners.

Our Environment
The classroom environment is designed to provide opportunties for your child to learn across all areas of the curriculum and is suited to your child’s unique needs and interests.
What do you need to bring to Nursery
Coats and Wellies
The children will need a coat, wellies and a puddle suit as they are in the outdoor area daily. Wellies and puddle suits can be kept in nursery. During the Winter months children may also need hats, scarves and gloves. Please make sure each item is labelled.
Book Bags
Please bring your child’s book bag to school everyday, please don’t bring any other bags.
Water bottles
Please make sure your child brings a named water bottle each day and it is filled with water before coming to nursery.
Homework
Homework will be put on Dojo on a Thursday and will need to be completed by the following Tuesday.
P.E
P.E sessions will take place on a Friday morning and the children will need to attend nursery wearing their PE kit on this day.
Spare clothes
Children will need a drawstring bag with spare named clothes. These can be left on the children’s peg in case of toileting or water accidents.
Snack time
Milk and fruit will be provided daily. The children are welcome to bring in their own healthy snack.
Forest School
The children are very fortunate to be able to take part in weekly Forest school sessions with Miss Allen. Please make sure your child has their named wellies and named puddle suit in school every day for these sessions.
