We Are Historians!
Delving into the past…
Year Five were transported back in time to the Tudors this week when they took part in a virtual history session led by a real historian and archaeologist! The children learnt about what an archaeologist is, as well as many aspects of the Tudor era, including the changes brought by Henry VIII and other Tudor monarchs. The children had the opportunity to discover and explore real life artefacts, including different types of arrowheads, which gave us clues about the Tudor way of life. The children were interested to discover how different life was like back then and were glad that some things had changed, especially the rather painful forms of dentistry and medical care! Year Five can’t wait to continue learning about this interesting topic.
