Transition is such an important part of Year Six. Throughout the year, the children have many opportunities to visit Walton High School, meet the staff and have a taster of a range of lessons: history, art, PE, maths, science and English.
Mrs Cheadle from Walton, delivered an exciting activity for the class. Unfortunately, Mr Valentine was brutally murdered and, in groups, Year Six had to discover the murderer, motive, murder weapon, date, time and location using a variety of clues and maths problem solving skills.
Year Six needed to decipher difficult encryptions, solve challenging problems and they learnt binary code. A special well done to Holly, Molly, James and George who solved the case! What excellent teamwork, resilience and maths dialogue, Year Six!
