At Berkswich, our school council representatives play a pivotal role in everyday school life. Each class democratically votes for their two school council representatives at the beginning of the year and they work with the headteacher and teaching staff to ensure every pupil's voice is heard.

Each week, school council meet to discuss the issues they feel are important in school. At the beginning of the year, they decided who and what they want to raise money for.

This year, they are raising money for:

Charities

• Katherine House Hospice
• Children in Need

In school fundraising

• Reading books for the reading corners
• Benches for the quad
• More PE equipment for lessons
