How can we keep ourselves and others safe?

During our 'My Safety' unit, Year Five have been considering the importance of safety and the things we can do to ensure we keep ourselves and those around us safe. We talked about different scenarios where we have to keep ourselves safe, such as when we are out in public or online.

Who keeps us safe in school, church at home and in the community?

Year Five have been busy thinking about important people who keep us safe in different settings. We also considered our role in helping these people to keep us safe by making sure we make sensible choices.

Staying Safe Scenarios

We looked at different images and discussed the potential danger the situation could pose. The children discussed in their groups strategies that could be used in order to help in that situation.
