Year Six
Year Six enjoyed a virtual session with a real life historian to further develop their knowledge of the Maya Civilisation. They enjoyed asking pertinent questions to deepen their understanding. Take a look at the amazing knowledge they gained!
Year Five
Year Five were transported back in time when they took part in a virtual history session led by a real historian and archaeologist! The children learnt about what an archaeologist is, as well as many aspects of the Tudor era, including the changes brought by Henry VIII and other Tudor monarchs. The children explored real life artefacts, including different types of arrowheads, which gave us clues about the Tudor way of life. They discovered how different life was back then and were glad that some things had changed, especially the rather painful forms of dentistry and medical care! Year Five can’t wait to continue learning about the Tudors.
