Chinese New Year
January 2023
Reception made Chinese New Year cards and decorated the classroom with lanterns and decorations. Mrs Aston, who originates from Taiwan, kindly taught us all about how her family celebrates the festival and shared some of her books from home. On Friday, we came to school wearing red clothes and had a party in the afternoon. We enjoyed tasting Chinese foods and engaged in some Chinese dancing. Our favourite part was learning how to perform a Chinese dragon dance!
