In our latest lesson, Year Two had lots of fun applying their understanding of tally charts and pictograms by going on a minibeast hunt. 

They needed to accurately record their data and create their own pictograms using an online tool. Here's how they did it: 

Year Two have thoroughly enjoyed their first lesson in data handling. First they learnt how to collect data using tally charts and then interpreted the data by answering questions about the tally charts. 

The children then collected their own data and recorded them using tally charts. Terrific tallys all round!
