Whole School Book - My Beautiful Birds
What a creative week we have had! Our focus for our whole school book was poetry. As the children heard the story of Sami and his family, they developed their understanding of what it must be like to be a refugee. This moving story enabled the children to see the reality of the refugee camps, where people attempt to pick up their lives and carry on.
You may be surprised by our poems as you read them. You may think that Year Four have suddenly become heartless! Do not fear, try to read them in reverse. Start at the bottom and work your way up. These poems are called reverse poems. We hope you enjoy reading them (well...when you read them in reverse!)
