In Year 5, children have been learning essential skills in dodgeball. They started by mastering the basics, such as throwing, catching, and dodging, which are crucial for gameplay. Through various drills and fun practice matches, children worked on their aim and reaction time, learning to throw accurately while also developing their defensive strategies. Teamwork played a big role, as students practised communicating with each other to create effective plays and support their teammates. By the end of the unit, they not only improved their dodgeball skills but also enjoyed the thrill of competition and the camaraderie that comes with playing as a team.
