Busy Bodies
During this unit we created representations of a body by making pictures. The children were encouraged to label the parts of the body in a range of ways - using pre-made photo labels, by writing simple emergent writing labels, by recording their ideas verbally or having the words scribed.
The children followed instructions (an algorithm) for a simple set of movements or dance routine.
They then adapted and changed this to make their own routine and test to see if it works.
