National School Sports Week 2024
National School Sport Week
This year's theme, powered by Sports Direct's Monster Kickabout, brings a special one-off Euro 2024 event that emphasises football as a means to engage young people in 60 minutes a day of PE, sport and play. Partnering with Nike, the campaign aims to ‘put the all back into football’ while promoting fun, inclusivity, and the importance of regular physical activity. The children have taken part in football activities each day this week in their daily PE lessons, playtimes and lunchtimes.
The children have also had workshops each day learning a different sport. They had a go at skateboarding, glow-in-the-dark dodgeball and wheelchair basketball. They also loved taking part in athletics with Georgie Forde-Wells, who represents Great Britain for the long jump and triple jump.
The UK Athletics Championships will take place in Manchester at the Manchester Regional Arena on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 June 2024. We will be able to watch Georgie Forde-Wells on the BBC!
