Who Belongs in Computing?
We are living in an exciting age of fast-developing technology. Computer science is a rapidly growing subject, and yet, despite its popularity, girls are consistently outnumbered by boys. Even though girls do at least as well as the boys, this imbalance still exists:

According to the National Centre for Computing Education, the gender gap in computing can be traced back to gender stereotypes developed in the primary years. To improve the diversity both in and beyond the classroom, at Berkswich CE, we need to show girls from a young age that they belong in computer science.
At Berkswich CE, we are working towards being 'I Belong' ambassadors. Year Six have been important role models, as one of their posters (right) demonstrates.
