Caribbean Instrumental Unit One

As part of our next glockenspiel instrumental unit, we have been learning about the history and features of Calypso music.

We began by learning to sing 'What's in the News?' before then learning to play two parts from staff notation.

In eight groups, we created headlines to add to our piece. Calypso music in Trinidad used to help to carry the news and share opinions.
