The smashing example in the video above is from Mehuli, in Year Six, was filmed as a quick example of one of the languages that she knows. We would love to have every language spoken by our community represented. You may even be learning a new language; why not have a go? All we need is just the word 'welcome,' videoed.

To help us to use them, videos need to:

• have permission to go on our newsletter and website
• have a few seconds at the beginning and the end with a cheery smile if possible (helps with the editing)
• be landscape (hold your phone sideways; wide, not tall videos) as this fills the screen
• include the word or phrase that means welcome - a word that welcomes all to our school. Please don't add too much more than this.
• include any gestures that are often seen with the welcome (this may not be needed, but a wave is always friendly!)

Videos may include any family member, young or more senior, a group, one child, a family member overseas...it's great to hear from parents and carers too!

We will join all of the mini videos together. Please send yours to Mrs Joint (deputy@berkswich.staffs.sch.uk) and include the name of those in the video and the language spoken.
