Pentatonic Scales Folk Music from China, Melodies and Composition
In music, the children have been developing their musicianship and teamwork skills. They learned how to write down and play a simple pentatonic melody (a five-note scale that sounds great together). They practised their own musical parts and grew in confidence when playing them as part of a group. We finished by working together to perform a short piece of music, listening carefully to one another and performing as a team. We demonstrated skills such as focus, cooperation, and enjoyment of making music together.
