Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, regrettably we are unable to invite parents into school for a tour of Berkswich CE primary and nursery. We understand that choosing the right setting for your child is one of the most important decisions that you will make in your child’s learning journey. With this in mind, we hope to provide you with a range of opportunities to allow you to gain an insight into life as part of our special Berkswich community and the chance to ask questions. We certainly welcome the opportunity to support and reassure you as you organise your child’s first steps into Nursery and Reception. We are offering virtual meetings to provide an opportunity for new parents to meet our headteacher, EYFS leader and teaching staff. This will provide a great opportunity for you to ask questions and find out about our community and learning at Berkswich CE. Your child is a vital part of this process, and so we welcome them to join in with the meeting.

Stepping It Up For Sport Relief
A BIG thank you to all of you that donated to our Sport Relief day. During assembly, Mrs Maxwell updated the children as to how Berkswich would celebrate Sports Relief and where the collections would be sent. Year Two taught the rest of the school, including all of the staff, the Sport Relief song and dance. Great fun was had by all! Berkswich certainly stepped it up for Sport Relief! Well done Year Two for getting the whole school singing and dancing. A grand total of £268:00 was raised.
Berkswich Keep Fit on National Fitness Day
What a fun experience the whole school had when they joined along with hundreds of other schools and workplaces, for National Fitness Day. It is thought over 10,000 schools took part in the event. Pupils and staff enthusiastically participated in a dance routine, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Even Year Three joined in whilst at the swimming baths! Please don’t think for a second that Year Four missed out on the fitness challenge whilst out on their Saxon visit...as soon as they arrived, they took a ten minute hike, followed by pushing a boulder as a test of strength, before finally chasing and capturing a Roman! Phew! Thank you to Mrs ‘Motivator’ Maxwell for organising this event.
